Oval-Back Arm Chair - Geometric Print

I did not get any before photos of this chair, but the fabric was plain red. This chair is a fairly simple one, but this particular one needed new foam badly.

Upholstery foam doesn't last forever. The general lifespan tends to be 10-20 years. After too long, the foam tends to do one of two things: It either gets really soft, or it turns to dust.

This chair was the latter:

The chair frame was fixed and touched-up, and new foam installed. Here is the after:

Modern Tub Chair - Blue Swirl

This chair was damaged by pets and needed a bit of an update. The client picked something similar, but in blue rather than grey.

Three Antique Chairs - Green, Pink, Beige

Three very different chairs were brought in from a client to be repaired and reupholstered. All were in various states of disrepair.

This first chair appears to have been an attempted DIY project that never got finished.

Unfortunately I never got a photo of the finished chair. I only have this one photo of the chair about 95% done (the fabric around the feet hasn't been trimmed, and the piping hasn't been added yet. You can get an idea of the overall look, however.

Victorian Parlor Chair - Tartan

Sadly I have no before photos of this chair, and Pierre got it done very quickly. The chair was in pretty good shape, and the owner wanted a new fabric for it, and she chose a family tartan (plaid). For those who aren't aware, the Cornwall area is home to a lot of families with Scottish heritage, and Maxville (not far) hosts the annual Highland Games, which draws crowds from around the globe.

Here is the completed chair:

The crest of this chair had particularly deep carvings.

Repaired Eastlake Victorian Side Chair

This is a beautiful antique chair (Eastlake style) made of solid walnut with decorative veneer bands. It had been damaged, and the frame was coming apart. The seat vinyl was also badly cracked.

Before:

When Pierre was removing the torn vinyl cover, he found an identical cover underneath, which was in perfect shape, and matched the current cover on the back rest. Since there wasn't anything wrong with this cover, and we didn't need to find/match/order a matching vinyl, we left this one in place. We have NO IDEA why there was a doubled-up cover on this.

The chair was knocked-apart, cleaned/scraped, and reassembled.
